It was a hot day when we made a trip for NATIONAL MONUMENT OF PRESS. Yes, it was November the first. This monument's located in SOLO, city of SPIRIT OF JAVA. The location is quite easy to reach. You can even reach there by foot from Purwosari Rail Station.
The building is antique and I like the way they put GARUDA on top of the front building. Guys, you should know that this building can tell you the origin of national press. Just so you know, journalist organization was born here (February 9th, 1946).
Entering the main room, we could see the diorama of journalism history. And this is the best thing you won't miss; an epigraph signed by SOEHARTO, 2nd president of Indonesia. By the way, you can use the main room for seminar, exhibition, etc.
Alright, now let's move to another room. We called it COLLECTION ROOM. They collect so many ancient things; Typewriter, radio, old newspapers, phonograph, and so on.
It was awesome to know that this building has something like tower that we can see the panorama of Solo from it. The point is, this monument has everything. You can find library, a pile of old newspapers, our dad's age-magazines, and many more. The good news is, it's all free.
